Taffia
Hi, Can someone kindly tell me the size of screws (or part number) for either side of the instrument light cluster on the dash of a 95 Defender. I only recently got a 110 ex army tilt and have been working through a full service. These parts seem to be vexing me - I don't know anyone local with a Defender so can't whip one of theirs out to measure. Really appreciate any help - its one of those niggly things that I 'must' fix. Every time I drive it its shakes out and shouts at me! ps. If anyone finds this online more than happy to be educated as I have tried! Thanks in advance. Taffia
I'm not sure if screw 14 - AB606044l was for either side of the light cluster or the bottom of the dash dial panel - haven't taken mine off yet I was not sure. Says Qty 2 - could this be it Thanks very much - is that schematic from a parts catalogue on-line?
Maverik
14 is the screws underneith at the corners, 11 is the upper side screws. It was a screen shot of a pdf'd parts catalogue, I think you'll be able to download a copy of it in the Tech archive section of the forum. There is also Microcat and Rav parts manuals I think. My binical is all cracked and needs replacing I just used a big stainless self tapper for now until I install my TD5 cluster Mav

western
didn't notice that, maybe it's the lowest weight they can put on thier website.
nickwilliams
No 10 x 1/2in self tappers will fit nicely.
western
the warning light panel has threaded inserts, so self tapping screws will wreck the inserts.
nickwilliams
Ahh, sorry, I misread the OP - I thought we were talking about the screws which hold the binnacle in place.
