heath robinson
Hi all. I'm about to drop the truck into a workshop to have it rebuilt, and have been thinking about my bulkhead. I think I'd like to get a replacement to have galvanised before I start, but which bulkhead will I be best off with? The truck is an '84 110, and will have the origional 4-speed 'box in it after the rebuild for a while at least. Will this gearbox fit under a later (santana or r380) tunnel? Does anyone know if a bigger (tr606, t56 or tko500) 'box will fit under either of these? Thanks, Jake
Aragorn
Does your existing bulkhead have this: http://www.landroverdemontage.nl/WebRoot/StoreNL/Shops/62878179/4FA2/9782/A931/871F/287F/C0A8/29B9/5C5F/DSC00514.JPG or this: https://c7743.ssl.cf2.rackcdn.com/Images/large/RTC6826.jpg The second flat-style one is what microcat says should be used on both factory V8's, and the later R380 vehicles. So if thats what you have, a 300 or td5 bulkhead will work just fine. Bear in mind also that earlier late bulkheads still had that panel removable, but later ones came with it as part of the pressing.
heath robinson
Perfect, thanks! It's the second one, which will make life easier. Cheers for that, now all I need is to find a good one for not too much cash. Jake
