Wheels244
Hello All I need to fit a new clutch to my 200Tdi. Can anyone recommend a supplier please and give me the part numbers. I'm wanting to put a heavy duty one in - after searching on here it looks like Valeo is the make to go for with a 130 friction plate. I'll also be doing the rear crank seal - I'm guessing this has gone leading to the slip - what's the part number please ? Oh, and I will need a HD clutch fork. Opinion - engine out or gearbox dropped back ? Thanks Rob

western
I did my last clutch by moving the gearbox rearwards, gave me enough space to remove the dead parts & fit the new parts, it's very heavy to shift back into place, so maybe a engine crane through the door or a mate or 2 to help with refitting gearbox.more here http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=4380 & http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=5010 & rear crank seal http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=6840 I don't know any LR parts suppliers in your area, but the wellknown parts should be able to get you sorted, I have a loacl place down here, LRSeries & Brit-car can supply all you need. you can beef up a new fork, just weld a thick washer or plate over the ball socket bump, again I'm not sure if pre strengthened forks are available. hth
ejparrott
Britpart were making HD forks at one point...bit of 3mm steel welded across the back....a friend added a further 6mm plate to that!
