Defender Heated Screen Part No

Hi Ralph/Everyone

Just trying to confirm the part number of the heated screen I need,

TD5 loom with everything built in, connections are at the bottom of the screen with a single connection on both drivers and passenger side.

I'm not sure if there should be a connection in the centre for the ground and its a two zone screen

or if indeed there are only two connections ?

or I'm missing a third connection which might have been lost by who ever stripped the loom out

No Les you arn't AFAIK missing anything.

There are four screens.

Two with connections at top.

Two with connections at bottom, one has two connectors and one has three connectors....In fact the TD5 I was in only had two connectors..

My screen came from one of the glass companies.

One wire should be black, the other purple I think with a trace.

Both mine (Pilkington OE ones) have only 2 connections, one in each of the bottom corners.

Just went through this recently. (Information from National Windscreen)

2 terminal screens are pre 2002 and are single zone (positive and negative do not matter)

3 terminal screens are post 2002 and dual zone (negative in the centre...but would also work the other way round)

Have a 3 terminal sitting in mine now.

Les, mine has 3 connections, the part number of mine was BTR5161, the label from my screen below.
