Heater Box Refurb

Recommended Posts

I have had the heater out to mend some holes in the bulkhead.

The heater box paddles are covered in approx 3mm self adhesive foam which has disintergrated.

Does anyone know which foam to replace it with?

Does the inner paddle have a foam lining too?

Cheers

Ed

When I refurbished mine about 3-years ago I used heat resistant self adhesive foam-rubber strip, available in various widths & thickness off Ebay.

The flap needs to seal around the edges to prevent air flowing past, likewise the matrix needs to be sealed around the edge otherwise air will flow past instead of through.
