A Twig
Hi all, This one is baffling me a bit. the Alarm on my 300tdi is being a bit temperamental. Whenever I arm it, the hazards flash correctly 3 times. However, when I disarm it, the hazards dont always do the one long flash as they should. The interior lights come one and the Dash LED flashes correctly, but no hazards. Then after a while maybe a week or two, the normal function will suddenly return for a while, then after a while they will stop again. The Defender Electrical Library states: The alarm ECU (C057-8) also receives a constant battery feed from fuse 1 of the passenger compartment fuse box (C580-2) on a purple wire. This feed is then used to power the hazard warning lamps (C057-1 & C057-6) Looking at the wiring diagram, there are separate circuits for LH and RH hazards, so there can't be a common earth issue. Also, according to the wiring diagrams, its the same circuit for the arm as well as the disarm, so I don't understand how apparently its the same circuit, yet it works in one case but not the other? Any ideas? Cheers
A Twig
Don't tell me I've stumped the collective hive mind of LR4x4!?! No one got any ideas? Incidentally, I changed some indicator bulbs today as I was changing the light lenses, and they've started working again... It's driving me nuts! western
I'm not familar with the 300tdi alarm system, suggest having it plugged in to diagnostics to see if there are any faults logged, which may give a clue. or it could just be a very poor ecu.
