ajh
I have a 200TDI here that appears to be leaking oil at the front cam follower retention bolt just behind the timing chest. What's the recommended way to seal these; and can they just be removed with everything in place?

ajh
Ah, so step 1 is 'torque down'. Thanks.
western
I've got a new unused bolt here with it's washer& it has a yellow sealing compund on the threads, I'm happy to post it to you if you want it. provided the camshaft & cam follower are in place & in the position described in the workshopp manual the bolt can be changed.
