SteveG
you could always try the castor correction bushes. MM4x4 do them for about 50-60 pounds IIRC Steve
dollythelw
Ive knocked QT ones about and not had them fold up BUT still hear of people not having a good time with them, the alternative is cranking stock arms
bishbosh
Gwyn Lewis will crank your arms for £40 each IIRC. He will also do it on an exchange basis - see HERE
bill van snorkle
Does any company over there do slotted castor corrected swivel balls ? That is the better way of doing it.Keeps the propshaft U joint angles standard. Bill.
bishbosh
I don't think they were slotted, but there was a company offering castor corrected balls but they were mega bucks.
bill van snorkle
I don't think they were slotted, but there was a company offering castor corrected balls but they were mega bucks. Screw that! Cut the flange off an scrap swivel ball, bore it out so that it centres over the flange of a complete swivel ball but still retaining the male protrusion that centres it to the axle housing. Drill two extra holes in the flange 180 degrees apart to act as dowell holes . Have the flange case hardened to make it into a reusable drill jig. Get a few Landy owning mates to chip in a few pounds to cover costs, then every one can slot their own balls for the price of a couple of pints. Bill. LR90
Tomcat Motorsport still do modified swivels IIRC
orange rover
seems like the qt ones are light + don't break, swivels may need changing anyhow, so that may seem a good idea. will get in touch with tomcat whether they still make them. regards orange
