L19MUD
Hi all, Myself and the other half have a holiday planned in Wales during August, 3 days in the breacon beacons, 1 day Aberystwyth area and 3 days North Wales. The proposed plan would be to spend the day (or part of it) near Aberystwyth taking in some gentle greenlanes. Key points - Truck is a 200Tdi 90SW, 2 inch lift, 255/85 BFG MT tyres, has a snorkel and tree sliders - Has to be non damaging - I will be on my own so I dont want a challenging route where I could get stuck (I do have a winch but dont want to be using it) - Aim is for a relaxed day with the other half, picnic etc Are there any lanes that fit the bill around that area (I know Strata Florida ia around there), biggest restriction I suppose is being a lone car which I know is not generally advised Suggestions please! Thanks Sam
mikeyb13
There are loads of none damaging lanes in the area, Strata, Golf links, nant y moch and bomber lane
L19MUD
Thanks, I will have a look into all of those. My main concern is really if going on my own was too risky Sam
Retroanaconda
Depends on the conditions. If the water levels are low Strata Florida is largely a pleasant amble up/down the valley. If the river is in spate then as we know it can become very dangerous very quickly.
