Baz2236
Hi can someone help me out please I want to relocate my battery the the rear of the cab so I can fit some after market seats. I brought some supposed ti be 800 jump leads and wired them up and get my battery in the back. But it struggles to turn over and the leads get hot. I am guessing these are not 800 amp leads can someone tell me what size cable I need and if you know where to get it from please. Aragorn
Get yourself on ebay and buy some 35 or 50mm welding cable. Do the jumpleads have a cable size printed on them? Sometimes it will be written on the cable itself? How long is the run? If the battery is inside the cabin, it should be mounted in a sealed box, and vented to outside. Aragorn
Actually, the stock cable is 40mm (on a TD5) according to the wiring diagram, so go with the 50mm. You'll need proper BIG crimpers to make off the ends.
Anderzander
Can I squeeze a question in here .... Is the mm size the CSA of the cable ?
