Seven Sisters Weekend - 21st-22nd September - all welcome

Recommended Posts

Come and join SLRC in Wales for squillions of acres of mud, rocks, mud, water, mud, tracks, mud, trails, and MUD!

September 21st-22nd 2013 - Seven Sisters

The basics:

  • Camping at the excellent Dan Yr Ogof Showcaves campsite (good facilities, HOT showers, excellent pub over the road, hot & cold running spanners on site, full hookups for caravanists)
  • Just about the biggest & bestest off-road site in the UK for all vehicles & abilities, from shiny freelanders to mud-plugging specials.
  • Families very welcome
  • The usual friendly Shire LRC marshals & team on hand
  • Probably a few faces from this forum too
  • Miles and miles of off-roading of all forms, form gentle freelander-friendly tracks & trails to horrible mud bugs, rocks, deep water, THE WATERFALL, etc.
  • A fun punch-hunt to keep you entertained
  • For each ticket sold, £5 will go to the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.

Full details & online booking via PayPal at www.7Sisters.co.uk

PLEASE READ:

If you are camping, please book through ShireLRC, don't just turn up at the campsite (they reserve a separate area for the event and booking separately confuses everyone)

We cannot accept people turning up "on the day" without a booking, either for the arena or for the campsite.

We always get enquiries about quads/bikes etc. so here's the rules: Any 4-wheeled vehicle which is MOT'd and insured is welcome, anything else is not, this includes non-road legal quads and ANY bikes.

£110 per vehicle, plus £4 booking fee (what is this ticket masters...?) and then from £7 a night camping... Phew!

That's what it costs, yes. Bear in mind £15 is for a year's membership, which is a one-off.

The club don't make money on this - the camping is at cost, the site entry covers not jsut use of the site but the fact the club hires portaloos, provides tea & coffee, club insurance, equipment for the marshals, etc. etc. and the booking fee is what it costs the club for Paypal transactions. If you don't like the booking fee you can always post a cheque and use the paper booking form printable from the website, or hand over cash at a club social. We've tried very hard to keep the entry as low as possible over the years, compared to the price of everything else these days.

You don't have to camp, you can sleep in a layby or at a hotel or drive home etc. etc. and save £7.

Oh and there is a £5 donation to the Air Ambulance in there too - we're soooo eeeeviiiiil!

Personally I don't think £60 a day for use of one of the biggest and best sites in the UK is bad value.
