rocksteady
Hi all, I have just installed LSDs front and back in my 1993 RRC LSE. On taking it to its mot, there was a loud clonking from the rear diff going around any corner. On returning home, I swapped the diff for a standard diff, all ok. So, I presume the diff is set to tight. Is there a way to reset this, or do I have to send it to a grown up. Thanks for your interest. Carl. Daan
Could you be more specific in what diffs you have? Daan

bill van snorkle
I would have thought a 'ramp loading' design of LSD similar to the Salisbury POW R LOCK and as fitted to Nissan Patrols to be a better choice than the fixed preload design shown. Anyway, possibly the LSD clutches haven't bedded in and are sticking? Providing the correct LSD lube is used, find a nice quiet open area where you can drive in a series of figure 8's to get the clutches working.
