Misfire with voltage drop

I have two fuel tanks fitted in series both of which are vented. I get no swoosh when I open the filler cap and had no problems before.

The fuel pump is only two years old and an original lr part. I have an upgraded regulator with gauge set at about 42psi from memory. I can set up my drift camcorder to read the gauge to see what's happening as I drive.

I can't discount the above but as reloading the tune made a dramatic difference these are less likely I would have thought.

The edis, would this failing effect the duty cycle?

I went for a short drive last night with Nigel's spare ecu and its running ok. This weekend I'll put 60 miles on it as it was then it was really noticeable before.

Basically yes, or at least for now it appaears so.

Stopping and reloading before originally fixed it for a while but the last time I reloaded it only partly restored power but it got me home - 60 miles

As the fault only appears after a few hours of driving it'll take me a few weekends to test as you ask as I don't have much time due to available daylight and work commitments.

Where I've mounted the ecu, behind the cubby box, its a bit of a faff swapping the ecu's so I'm going to have to mod the install as well which'll take a while.

I'm not familiar with the way the software works, are the setting files different from the tune files? I have the same tune loaded in both ecu's now.

The .msq files store all the settings & tune.

The .s19 files are the actual program that runs in the ECU and shouldn't be altered, they also include the sensor data hence why there is a Rover V8 specific one, the same one that is in all of Nige's ECU's so everyone's is working the same.

Ok, the msq file that I'm using in both the ecu's is the only variable I could be effecting and I haven't changed any of the system files.

The tune in the old ecu is the same exact code that I loaded into the new ecu.

Does this then mean that it's probably a component failure within the ecu?

I didn't but I will, I'll send it to Bowie69 as he kindly offered to load it up for me as it was large.

I sent the two recent logs from nigels spare ecu to nigel and he's looking at them.

what was weird was that the second log when I loaded it into the megalog anaylser really richened the map just like the first one did with the original ecu.

when I load the base map, from nige, into megatune I get 20 warnings saved to audit.log, before it asks to burn to the ecu, is this normal?

your current configuration. This almost always means
that the value of the constant is incorrect and you must
manually correct the situation. The easiest way might

I have had a think as to if to post up on this - I keep saying to peeps that MS is reliable robust and simple, but the above is techy enough to frighten a dare devil away....

ALL of the gibberish above means here is that on the MSQ and ECU Tune one has centrgrade and the mismatch is farenhieght.....

As I said I am nervous of this level of tinkering as at this levl if you do not follow the notes below EXACTLY you stand a high risk of screwing up the entire system, but having said that 80 85 90 degree C means something to me, but 163 means sod all in F to me , so be VERY VERY careful and follow the info below exactly ....

You will need to do the info below on both 029v and 029y4, we will do 029y4 1st .....

Open megatune.

Click on

File >Configurator

click on the plus sign next to 029y4

click on plus sign next to settings.ini

click on plus sign next to setting

select and click on CELCUIS

when the page has loaded look at the top near the centre, it says "Temperature units" and tick the box that is empty near it so a tick shows

Click File > Save

Close and restart Megatune

The 20 x warnings will now be gone. suggest 029v and 029y4 are both done....

it will not sort oyut the issue your having but sorts out the C from F issue

Nige, not sure. All the long runs I've had its been connected because I've been logging. Only on one run did i haventhe autotune running it went pair shaped sharpish. That resulted is a similar map to the one I ended up using the analyser in megaviewer with the second log I sent you using your spare ecu, it richened everything until it almost didn't run.

This weekend I'll load the base map and then run it without the laptop connected.

When the laptop is connected, is it actually doing anything unless its in autotune mode?
