simonr
There were a couple of people I talked to today at FSWC who had damaged brake lines. I was amazed they had not come across this dead easy way to seal a brake line - crimping the copper line instead. Carry a few olld ball bearings. Put a ball bearing in the open end of the copper tube inside a flare fitting and re-attach the fitting. It will completly seal it. It works wonders as a get you out of trouble fix/bodge. Bull Bar Cowboy
Si, Thanks for the tip ……. there are now 3/16 balls in the ‘mobile’ tool kit…….. free from the local bike shop I knocked up a new caliper pipe yesterday and refitted the original rubber hoses. Having checked, the problem may be down to articulation …………. I’ll get some new hoses made up and see how we get on. Ian
