Chris Davies
Has anyone who has done this, putting a series 3 gearbox into a series 2 had a problem with the clutch slave cylinder touching the bellhousing cross member, it seems to rest fairly heavily on it. I don't have the engine in ATM, would this be causing the problem? Thanks in advance
Phil Hancock
Remove the two reinforcing ribs then it will fit.
Tonk
chop the webs back before you fit the engine, its a PITA to cut them out after its all in situ
Chris Davies
chop the webs back before you fit the engine, its a PITA to cut them out after its all in situ Do I chop them both (front and rear) out completely or just 'scollop' them a bit? Should I remove the gearbox again? Might be worth giving it a go without removing it Thanks for the advice
