yellowbeast
Basically I've striped all my quad down and are wanting to paint the panels nato green, and with it being such a popular colour with land rovers I wondered if you could help.. Where's the best place to source? What do people dilute it with to spray? And any general tips! Cheers
garymorris
Hi , Marcus Glenn or anchor supplies both sell the paint you're after , they'll probably tell you what thinners you require Gary
yellowbeast
Thanks! Will give them a call tomorrow
Boris113
I used thinners for the respray, but have previously used white spirit or even petrol without any issues. I would advise going for a satin paint rather than a matt, the latter marks easily and holds the dirt badly.
Eightpot
Rather than buy a massive tin from anchor etc, you can go to your local paint factors and ask them for half a litre of BS285 NATO green satin in synthetic, thin it with white spirit. If you're using other types of paint you need to find out what the correct thinner is for the particular medium.
Mo Murphy
I haven't seen a nato Green paint thread for years Makes me all nostalgic
yellowbeast
That's a good point, I'll keep that paint code in mind! The Matt isn't a must I just liked the look of it and with it all being striped down I though I'd give the plastics a paint while I'm at it! Cheers again rueben
