TSD
Ibex doesn't have enough straight lines? Don't worry, there is an alternative... http://www.mikeno.de

miketomcat
Dude that looks like a Lego ibex/disco3. Mike
David Sparkes
There are various versions available, but this Station Wagon gives a reasonable representation of the straight line styling TSD refers to.
missingsid
Looking at spec the engine is a long way forward of the front axle! I guess if you try to come up with a new utility design it is bound to end up looking like a squared of LR? Marc
dirtydiesel
I quite like the look of them, Double a arm suspension, plastic body, galv chassis and 1300kg kerb weight are attractive as well. I wonder if they're actually going into production?
TSD
Dude that looks like a Lego ibex/disco3. Mike What, like this? (Spotted at Legoland many years back) BTW - fixed the link above (I think)
ukspike
Link worked for me first time. I quite like the look of it. lets hope it goes into production.
Retroanaconda
The mirrors and door handles look like they're straight out of the Defender parts bin!

miketomcat
Dave yes exactly like that! I hate to say it but ignoring the styling or lack of this is exactly what the defender replacement should be come on land rover man up the Germans are coming and they ain't pretty. dirtydiesel
What, like this? (Spotted at Legoland many years back) BTW - fixed the link above (I think) That's clearly a Gwagon Dave, the heater intake in the bonnet gives it away! PaddyMac
I'd rather this than the DC100 any day......maybe Land Rover should take note
TSD
At one time I worked a few miles from Legoland, so my Ibex sat in a public car park every day. They might have used a G-Wagon photo for a model, but BL Solar Yellow with a black ragtop? - I think it's obvious where they got the idea :-D
dailysleaze
I'd buy one. Looks better than the way LR are going
bill van snorkle
I'd rather this than the DC100 any day......maybe Land Rover should take note When has LandRover EVER taken note ? There is more chance of JCB filling the gap that Defender leaves open than LandRover ever again building something for the working/rural sector of the 4WD market. o_teunico
I like it! Will Defender 2015 look similar to this?
Bowie69
I like it very much, and lightweight too, and more power, and more sensible drivetrain, bolt on/off plastic panels, excellent!
Maverik
Smoke and mirrors, too many fancy graphics I like to see working machines.

simonr
I think if they tapered the top of the vehicle towards the roof - much like the difference between a S1 hard top and a S2, it would look much better. I like a lot of the design, particularly the front grille, headlights and bumper. A modular chassis is a great idea too. It means you can (probably) change the wheelbase or configuration without IVA issues. Full Indi double wishbone suspension is also good (IMHO) which should yield a truck that's nice to drive long distances as well as improving traction off road (as your wheels stay on the ground more of the time), not withstanding the limited travel. The plastic body panels should stand up to tree-abuse rather better than the current aluminium foil used in Defenders. I wonder what it's tow capacity is likely to be?! need4speed
Yep, an ugly duckling it may be (imo) but independant double wishbone is as good as it gets
Bowie69
Tow capacity is up to 3.5t in the specs
