studmuffin
Our daughters wedding tomorrow and then 5 nights hols in Iceland to get over the shock (or add to to the credit cards!!) Would love to overland in a Landy but unfortunately the finances and Lady S says no. Maybe next year. At the moment we are going to enjoy it for what it is. snailracer
Very jealous. I really want to go back, even for a short break but the wife is having none of it! Apparently we have to go somewhere warm....

studmuffin
We are back home. Its a wonderful wild country with people who love their Land Rovers, particularly Defenders with great big doughnut tyres. However here is the weird and sad bit. Our son and his girlfriend booked their return tickets back to Perth WA in April with KLM as they fly Birmingham/Amsterdam/KL/Perth --but as they wanted to come with us to Iceland the dates clashed and Lady S paid the extra to switch their KLM tickets to today instead of yesterday. Otherwise they would have been on the plane that went down. We are still in a kind of shock. We took them to the airport today but as you can appreciate all the family are a bit nervy to say the least. Our thoughts are with the families who were not as lucky as us.
