S2A109RAG
Please someone shed some light on this horrible little problem. Up until 2 days ago the O2 sensor was happy and reading on Mega-tune while data logging. Now for some reason the gauge on mega-tune reads Red and fully around to the right at 28. Is this normal? is the sensor just cooked? the wiring hasn't been changed since the first start up 6 months ago........... Or is there a setting that I may have changed and not realized? Cynic-al
I killed mine by getting it very wet. I now run without it and if I want to retune put one in. They can also become choked up with soot / over fuelling. I'm told getting them very hot with a blow torch cleans them.
FridgeFreezer
As Al said, there's a few ways to clog them up or kill them. They don't like being hit/dropped either, and an exhaust leak will throw the readings off as air is richer than exhaust gas. A clogged one (be it from over-fuelling, burning oil, etc.) can be revived by heating the tip with a blowlamp until it just glows cherry red - you can actually attach a voltmeter to the wires & see the voltage coming out while you do this.
