Webasto or similar into soft dash classic

So far, I haven't decided on a make or model. I just fancy something to warm the car before I get in on a winter morning. So far, I am learning toward the Webasto thermotop c, with a timer.

I guess what I'm really asking is has anyone successfully fitted such a thing, and if so, which one. Also, where abouts in the engine bay is the best location.

My sister lives in Canada and they use them out there, even if the car is in a garage. You would see many cars and pick-ups with a 110v plug sticking out of the bonnet for the heater. You may not need a timer if you use an extension lead and just switch it on about halve an hour before you go out to the car. The electric pre-heaters are quiet small so location is not a problem on a Range Rover.

Greatest invention ever. Plumb it into the heater supply line. make sure it low enough that air can not get trapped in the Webasto. I prefer controlling using a wireless relay. Much more convenient than a timer. Turn it on 15 minutes before you leave and you will have a warm car. It is also "best" to put in a separate fuel line to the tank if you can as this avoids any possible fuel supply problems.
