simonr
Cool! Why is there nothing similar in the UK? You have to be a US citizen to enter any of the DARPA challenges I watched the first challenge - and thought I could do better! While I don't imagine I could do anywhere near as good a job as some of the enterants - it would be fun to bankrupt myself trying! FITZ
Cool! Why is there nothing similar in the UK? We're not even allowed to drive on half the green lanes in the UK and that's with a driver, road tax and insurance. Can you see this nanny state letting you unlesh a few tons of car without a driver for a hundred odd mile trip? You would be enjoying yourself and that's clearly against the law. rtbarton
I liked that motorbike that righted itself after falling over. It's comforting to know that when the human race has been annihilated we'll still have traffic jams!

G4FUJ
Cool! You have to be a US citizen to enter any of the DARPA challenges Si Apart from the other post about nowhere allowed to drive in this tiny island, this was sponsored by the US military. They're unlikely to let any aliens in, as they believe they're the only ones capable of using the kit they've got now, never mind anything new... Many of us know differently (some from bitter experience) that this is not the case... Cheers,
