need4speed
Hi stuck. Long time no speak btw! You didnt say what was wrong with injectors, or if you just didnt have any, but just be aware that a good ultrasonic clean will normally sort rv8 injectors out. Id be inclined to buy a cheap 2nd hand set and have them cleaned. They arent like these modern day self-metering jobs...
stuck
Hi Phil, Long time indeed! No.1 injector is open circuit whilst the rest measure around 160 ohms so an electrical issue rather than a spray pattern thingumy. Cheers, Mick. Escape
Hi Phil, Long time indeed! No.1 injector is open circuit whilst the rest measure around 160 ohms so an electrical issue rather than a spray pattern thingumy. Cheers, Mick. GEMS injectors should be 16.2 ohm +/-.5, maybe a typo or something else could be wrong.
stuck
Cheers for that Escape, I'll double check tonight but I probably just read the meter incorrectly. Whilst we are on the subject of injectors does anyone know the correct torque setting for the injector clamp bolt? I don't have a workshop manual for the 4.6. Ta, Mick. Escape
Not sure what clamp bolt you are refering to, in the GEMS the injectors are silmply held with clips to the fuel rail. You can find the RAVE manual, including overhaul instructions for the 4.0/4.6 at Elbekko's site: http://rave.stringsandints.com
