stuck
Evening. Can anyone recommend a quality timing strobe please? The plastic Gunson one I have is great as long as you have either three hands or an elastic band to wrap around the pickup shoe I don't need trick bits, just something that bloody works. zim
The snap on ones are really nice, but not cheap Hope you're well G
missingsid
I have the Gunsons Workshop Zenon light, nice heavy feel from metal case but TBH the main problem I have is getting the light in to a position where the light is on the marks and I can see them! stuck
Thanks Chaps. Just been and emptied my pockets in the local snap-on van. Spendy.
zim
Just be careful using the advance / retard settings, from memory they're double (or is it half ?) due to the megasquirt spark system. G
stuck
Cheers G, Seems a bit baffling at the minute. Can you remember which mode you use it in? Seems to offer DIS, Conv, COP, MSI-Conv & MSI-DIS what ever they are
missingsid
This is my understanding googling? DIS - Distributor less Ignition System Conv - Conventional COP - Coil Over Plug - mini coil on cyl head MSI - Multi Spark Ignition - fires more than once during ignition. So Megasquirt/Megajolt with Ford EDIS is DIS? In theory this setting should negate the halving of the values, but as Snap-On charge for a manual there is not an online version to see if this is the case? Marc.
