discomikey
Hi all, as you may, or may not know, I have been rebuilding a pair of early doors, however I don't have the keys for the locks. I have had a look at them and searched for a manual which covers the early vehicles, but I can only find info on 1986 on doors, i.e. Push button doors, these are obviously different. Anyone know how to get the barrels out? Ta.
discomikey
P.s. I realise this info could be bad news in the wrong hands so if you feel it's best pm me with the relevant info.
jackmac
Lift up handles? Just done mine by drilling the lock, then putting in a very coarse screw/bolt, and pulling on it hard. Make sure you don't pull at too much of an angle, you might snap the lock barrel and then it's impossible to remove. Ask me how I know... pete3000
don't be tempted to twist the barrel round in situ too much as you will break the over centre springs in the lock casing that give the reasuring click when locked/unocked. Eightpot
Just use a similar key-fuel cap, ignition, lollipop stick etc. Press the detent button down and give the barrel a waggle and ease it out
