2002 td5 - front centre seat, belt mounting?

As the title suggests really,

I have a centre seat to fit to the front row of my 2002 td5 defender. I would like to make certain of the mounting points for the centre seat belt. (lap belt)

From what I can see it seems as though they would mount to the forward most larger bolt of the 2 that hold the drivers and passengers belt buckle bracket. (see picture attached)

Does anybody have a centre seat fitted with a belt on a defender of approx. this age, who can confirm this or otherwise tell me the correct location?

Cheers

They are normally integral to the 2 outer seat seat belt latches. The strap is fitted to the seat belt plate where it bolts to the floor. Its looped through and sewn. The latch part is on the drivers side and the tongue strap is attached to the passenger side latch mount (or vice versa).

Thankyou Mo,

Very helpful. I guess if it came from the factory with 3 front seats then it must have different belt plates to what I have on mine. So that doesn't help me unless I try and find a set from a scrapyard, or import new from landrover if you can even get them. (i'm in Oz btw). I just wonder how legal it would be to bolt the aftermarket belt I have into the larger bolt hole along with the plate that's already there.

I suppose with the original plates the force applied from any impact would be spread across the 2 bolts, however if I just attached it to the one bolt there would be greater strain on that bolt, so whether an engineer would be happy to pass the modification for us we will have to see, though I doubt they would know any different anyway to be honest.
