Thrust bearing

Recommended Posts

Engine ?? Gearbox ?? This information would help, in fact with all the engine/gearbox variants it's essential.

Generally speaking the clutch thrust bearing will have two lugs, these locate in the arm of the clutch lever, some clip in some are locked in by a spring tang.

On the 300Tdi/R380 gearbox the clutch arm has two oval bearing/slipper pads which press against the release/thrust bearing and are held in place by two spring clips. If these are not in place and correctly located the clutch will not operate correctly, I hope this helps.
