Defender TD5 limp mode

Recommended Posts

Hi I have a Defender TD5 that goes in to limp mode, it normally happens when going down hill decelerating, but not always, turn the ignition off then restart and it is fine for awile then does it again, Have put hawkeye on it cleared the faults took it out until it did it again, and it showed driver demand has been faulty 3141, first i looked for oil in the harness, lots of it every where, so fitted new injector harness and cleaned out the oil, no change, next changed the potentiometer, no change, took out the ECU opened it up no oil has got that far and no sign of burning or corrosion, next from reading on the forums people have had success with running new wires between the ECU and the potentiometer, still no luck, any one got any ideas?
