Mutley
Have a 300tdi with the rectangle box lights for fog and reverse, is it simple enough to change to the round Td5 type ie cut wires, conect cut wires to new light fitting conectors and jobs a good un, or is there more to it? Cheers Mutley
tacr2man
the wiring is same , I feed 1 earth . the rectangular lights are surface mounted with two screws . So shouldnt be a technically challenging swap JMHO
Snagger
Exactly as you said it, Mutley. I can't remember if the fixing studs are in slightly different positions - I have a vague recollection that they are diagonally opposite, not horizontal like on the rectangular lights. western
you will have to make a bigger central hole for the bulb holder to sit through the panel, http://www.lrseries.com/shop/product/listing/2844/AMR6524-REAR-FOG-LAMP-ASSY.html?search=rear%20fog&page=1 http://www.lrseries.com/shop/product/listing/2842/XFE500010-REAR-FOG-LAMP-LATE-TYPE.html?search=rear%20fog&page=1 or buy led versions that are fully sealed & surface mounted. Roverdrive
Think it is the TD5 ones I have. I doubled up with one of each per side.
western
I doubled up my rectangular versions when I found both sets of wiring on each side.
