seidlry Posted March 16, 2015 Share Posted March 16, 2015 My 2000 Discovery 2 V8 4L just stopped running going down the road at about 25 MPH without a noise. I suspected a fuel pump but it had adequate fuel pressure. Suspected ignition failure but gets great spark. After this in spite of my better judgment I still thought it could be the CPS but that made no difference. All this being said , it sounds bizarre while its cranking over although it has never had a problem firing up so Im not sure what it should sound like. Could I have a busted timing gear or chain?
