Retroanaconda Posted March 27, 2015 Share Posted March 27, 2015 To be fair electric windows are hardly a complex system full of electronics - just a pair of motors and some switches. And hugely convenient! The Defender system is very basic and consists of the internal regulator and motor itself, some wiring, and the switches. If you're lucky your loom will have the wiring in already, if not then you'll have to add your own - but as above it's not a complicated setup. The switches just reverse the polarity of the motors to achieve up/down motion. Have a look in the RAVE manual at the 2002-on Td5 setup, that'll give you the basis.
