1978 Range Rover Brakes

Just changed the rear disks and calipers on my 78 rangie.

Went for a drive and it feels like there an on/off switch on the brakes. If I touch the pedal the brakes lock on. They don't stay locked but it's like the pedal is being sucked from under my foot.

Not a nice feeling.

Changed the master cylinder and still the same problem.

Anyone had this before, maybe my servo has just gone or something?

There is a valve just down from the master cylinder that operates the flow if there is a failure check that that is clean and working properly.
