FORUM NEWS - "Milestone"

Recommended Posts

It's encouraging how many of the original members are still active!

I wasn't quite there on the first day - but 07 Aug 2005. It throuroughly deserves to have lasted this long - hope I'll still be here in 2025!

I spent many a year visiting occasionally, finally registered still said little until recently ... Now I never shut up!

Oh well I guess the old days were the best days haha

I've said it before it's nice to have so many knowledgable specialist people on here who have and do walk the walk and talk the talk are willing to share their knowlege and guide us misguided ones

For me , this place represents what the 'net is really for - not LandRovers as such but the free exchange of knowledge and experience from a wide global source , and the chance to network amongst each other based on common interest and get to know some great people

Long may it continue :)

Well done all, and many more etc.

Polo and fleece sound good as does the LR style ali plate thingy but no use to some and maybe too old fashioned for such a forward thinking forum?

Marc

Blimey, just checked March 2006 for me!!

Yup, tried that for a little while, now deleted myself from them all! Problem with FB for this sort of thing, is it isn't properly searchable, again something being used for something that it was never intended for, or any good at, then add the mix of muppets you can imagine what it is like..... I really wish I didn't have FB, but I need it for work apparently :(

  • 3 weeks later...

I tell you what I'd really like .... A forum MUG - for brews in the garage, and maybe one for work.

Perhaps with something like the Land Rover oval (in blue) - but with 'LR4X4.COM' in it ...

Thats not a bad idea.

Those that created this site, but are unfortunately no longer with us are White90, Geoff Beaumont, and LR90.

Oi :angry2: I ain'tn't dead yet!

Still lurking, but not very active on account of a lack of land rover for several years (or decent workshop - though that is finally in hand).

I'd definitely be up for a rugby shirt or similar.

Forum mug should maybe be the stainless insulated type rather than easily-broken china type... knowing Nige and JeffR

Genius !

Maybe the forum logo on one side and Mr Bump on the other - with a small compartment in the base for plasters ?

In all seriousness though - I'm not sure what the cost of a stainless one is - but it would be an excellent 'upgrade'.
