Fatboy Roz Posted June 6, 2015 Share Posted June 6, 2015 Ive had a Landrover detachable tow bar fitted to my Freelander and having turned the locking key to lock the tow bar into place I can still remove it by turning the knob. Before i take it back to the main agents as not fit for purpose has anyone else had this problem or am I doing something wrong?. I`d hate to cause a fuss and then find its me thats the problem. western Posted June 6, 2015 Share Posted June 6, 2015 on the tow ball part that slides into the socket, is there a lever on the right hand side as you look at it from rear of vehicle ? if yes, the lever must be moved forward in direction of arrow 2 on diagram to lock the part in place before locking it with the key AFAIK I can see from this extract from the Freelander 2001 on manual Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
