duncmc
I have just spent the afternoon fitting a set of roof rails to our '07 Freelander 2. It was all going so well! I had watched videos on YouTube, and the instructions were working well. Then I tried to fit the cross bar, another hour and a half later, it's done. In the end I found it easy to assemble the cross bar and rails off the car, then put it all into place. Those cap head bolts that hold the cross bar in place are so difficult to access it's a joke. Also the instructions didn't actually say which way round the cross bar went, so first time the rails were about 15mm off the fixing holes. It all must have been on and off 4 times in the end! And it's hot out there this afternoon.
