changread
Hi all, I appreciate this subject must have been covered many times but here goes, my very nice 52 plate D2 with 88k on the clock suffered diesel in the oil I know a common problem so replaced the cylinder head fitted with genuine landrover injector rail and seals, whilst the head was off Ii checked the bottom end bores still had the honing marks and turbo in fine condition, everything cleaned and reassembled and is running beautifully so I'm thinking can I improve it even more and this is where I get confused do I remove the EGR or leave it standard? just one other thing the exhaust runs a cat and at nearly 16 years old coming to the end of its life do I fit a decat sports exhaust or keep it standard? Many thanks.
discokev
I did my 03 auto 3 years past, it goes better than ever and more mpg. I would recommend it, no cat no egr well worth 2 or 3 hours work
changread
Could you recommend the egr kit you used?
discokev
The egr was £25ish from eBay plenty of choice there. The front pipe is I think Land Rover defender TD five Without cat
