Eightpot
Just putting together a td5 head after having it pressure tested & found this on the bench which seems to have come from the head- cant figure out if it has or if its dropped out of a pen or something! Anyone recognise it?
dave88sw
Can't really make out what it's made of, is the end like a gauze? It almost looks like the little filter gauze that goes in behind the fuel pressure regulator
Eightpot
Its just a plastic tube, large hole one end, smaller hole the other. Filter gauze accounted for- might be nowt to do with the head (engine shop just chucked all the rockers/lufters/bolts/filter etc in a box for me to sort out later..) could just be a bit that was already in the box but its bugging me, no doubt I'll find out just after I've torqued down the head bolts
elbekko
Is that the famous plastic dowel?
diggervan
Hi rebuilt my cylinder head a couple of weeks ago and didn't come across anything like that so I would say it's just something left inside the box you were given It's definitely not a plastic dowl Bob
