geoffbeaumont
Certainly Air Suspension was introduced on the Classic on the LSE model and my belief was that this was the test bed for the P38. To try and iron out the bugs for the new model launch. It was an option on the SE and LSE from 1993 (I had a '93 Vogue SE with EAS).
elbekko
And the P38 was released in '94, so it isn't that far-fetched.
geoffbeaumont
I don't think it's ever been in doubt that the EAS on late classics was a trial of the system for the replacement vehicle - I hadn't heard the story about it being built and donated by an owner before, though. I thought EAS was standard on the LSE and an Autobiography option on the SE.
geoffbeaumont
Not sure about the LSE, but I'm fairly certain Autobiography wasn't branding that was in use before the P38a - I've never seen one, at any rate. They were still using Vogue / Vogue SE.

A quick google search later, it would appear I'm wrong about that - looks like Autobiography was used to shift the last of the run out classics (1995 registrations at least - not sure about 1994). The EAS was available well before that, from 1993.

The Autobiographies could have anything at that stage of the branding if you had the money to pay for it.
