Peaklander
I don't have a TD5 and I don't want to sound unhelpful because I'm not!! Are you trying to make it work / test it? Does the fuel gauge work? Can you connect it with the sender outside the tank? If so what happens when you move it manually?? Or maybe there's another reason for asking about it... Ex Member
On my 1991 Defender 90. I measured the sender when out. It shows 330 to 13 ohms when touching the stops and 280 Ohms on the empty line.
chris2010
My trucks going to be running td5 . Running a td5 gauge .at present My Ali tank doesn't have a sender in to it , I won't be running a td5 sender and pump. Hoping to fit a vdo floatless style sender in to it . So need to see if a vdo gauge is needed also
tonydrover
VDO floatless senders???? Never heard of these. Just been googling them. What size sender and gauge would I need for my 90?
chris2010
Not sure on the sender . For my application one that's 180mm tall. And a normal 52mm gauge I believe Measure depth of tank , take half and inch , if not inch , off that measurement that's the length sender you want
