nidge
Removed the rear tub from the current project at the weekend and can't decide what to coat the underside with. Some flaking paint on the Alum but no rust to tub support brackets and all looks to be in good nick. So ideally any easy applied paint that will adhere well to the Alum Metal and original painted parts. I have used POR 15 on axles etc and other exposed metal parts but its a tad expensive to do the whole bottom of a 110 hardtop.Any Thoughts or what have you used ....I was thinking maybe Dinitrol Stone chip ? muddychris300tdi
I've just painted one of the front out riggers on mine with garage floor paint to see how it lasts.
ejparrott
When I rebuilt ours after our accident 4 years ago I fitted 3 new galv bearers, then sprayed the rest with stone chip
