mcc1979ian
Ok so im looking at another 90 to run til my current projects finished then it will become my next project. Its a c reg 2.5na but comes with a 2.8 diahatsu engine and conversion plate. Is this worth fitting and if so how easy to do or am i best to sell it in favour of a 300tdi
oneandtwo
I had one once, I wouldn't have another. Stick with a 300tdi.
mcc1979ian
That was my thinking. May just put up with the 2.5na if I buy it and flog the 2.8 daihatsu til I strip it and rechassis it
mcc1979ian
Ok so the 2.5 needs a big end seal and lift pump so im thinking sell the 2.8 daihatsu lump and 2.5na and buy a 300tdi locally and mount it to the lt77 for now. Front axle needs a swivel seal but the 90 comes with 2 good condition axles so could just swap over the front one and rebuild the spares properly for either project. mcc1979ian
Ok so for now the whole ideas been put on hold. Lad wouldnt budge an inch on price even though motor wasnt as good as he said it was. Offered him to keep both engines and the spare pair of axles and he only drops £150.
