landroversforever
I'm looking for some decent technical information on turbos. Books or websites etc I'm not fussed, but I want decent sources not just pub chat! Specifically regarding stuff like sizing, flow rates and reading compressor maps. If its covers things like compounding turbos and their relationships then even better. I've got a pretty reasonable idea from seeing what combinations work and don't work on the SuperTurboDiesel forum, but I want to try and backup my thoughts with facts (and break the internet). I should also add that its for the Merc lump that I'm fitting to the 90, not a Land Rover engine. Thanks in advance all
=jon=
Maximum Boost by Corky Bell is supposed to be one of the bibles of turbocharging... Not sure if it goes into details such as compound charging though...
elbekko
IIRC there's a tool from one of the big turbo manufacturers (probably Garrett?) where you input all your variables and it tells you what turbo you need.
dangerous doug
I bought this book when we were turbo charging a mini, not sure if it's the sort of thing your after but there is some useful stuff in there
