Softtop110 Posted April 26, 2016 Share Posted April 26, 2016 Hello all My 110 has developed a whine in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th which I believe indicates worn layshaft bearings? The vehicle is currently in daily use and I do have a new gearbox although this does mean a near on 500 mile trip to collect and get back to my workshop to swap. This maybe a daft question but could anyone tell me if is safe to continue using the car for the time being? Will the box explode leaving me stranded?
