reb78
My wiper motor on the 110 intermittently graunches, squeaks, squeals etc then it will go through months of silent operation. I do think its trying to tell me something though! Is there anything serviceable/greasable in there or is it a replacement job? If the latter is this genuine only or are there other suppliers of a decent part?
western
remove it & drive cable, pop the gearbox cover off & clean the old grease out, examine for wear/damage, if all good regrease & refit.
reb78
Will I need to remove the top of the dash to pull the drive cable?
western
Nope, wiper blades & arms off, so the spindles can rotate fully as the drive cable is pulled out. bottom left corner & grab handle off, disconnect wiper motor electrics & the earth wire & retaining strap, undo the drive tube nut on motor, get some old gloves or rags then remove motor from dash & drive cable will come out of the tubes attached to motor.
