Heated mirror switch

Hello LR4x4 forum,

As a new owner of a 2012 Land Rover Freelander 2 HSE I have a question about the heated mirror switch, doe's it work with the heated rear window as when I put it on when there is water on the mirrors, they do not seem to get rid of it that quickly

Was told that they are supposed to be on all the time the engine is running?

Had a Skoda before which had a separate switch and cleared within seconds,

Is there any way of checking it works?

Any assistance in this matter would be appreciated

Thank you

Hi There,

I have a Freelander 1, and the mirror heating is on all the time, fed by it's own fuse from the ignition switch. Rear screen heating is a completely separate circuit. Hopefully the Freelander 2 is the same. Haynes Manual (Freelander 1) shows the circuits fairly clearly. I have had a squint at the F2 User Handbook (online) and it does not tell you anything.

Byran,

Thanks for the information regards heated mirror, I have had a look in the Haynes manual for the Freelander 2 and can not see it?

Am used to easy bike wiring diagrams with only a couple of relays, looks like l will need a doctorate in electrics to sort that wiring diagram lol

Cheers for looking
