Cornish Rattler
Hi guys Ok i am not quite at the point of fitting the 200tdi in yet but just wondered what peep's views are on what to do with the galv'd battery tray, I know when I had my last S2a swb that I completely restored using its original to me galv chassis a few years later I decided to fit a disco 200tdi engine and at the time 8ish years ago everyone just lobbed the tray off and treated the chassis where the tray legs had been but once I had fitted the 200 in I quickly realised I didn't need to have done that but that was a long time ago and can't remember how much of the tray I could have saved, any idea's and pic's please engine will be fitted with std 2a engine mounts and coupled up to a std 2a box
ejparrott
Not done it myself but I believe the entire tray can be fitted as original size, you just have to make it bolt on so you can actually get the engine in place, the FIP sitting underneath the tray quite happily
