Coatsie
I've put a disco 300tdi into my Defender 90 and it's having trouble starting, it's as if it takes ages for the fuel to get to the injectors before it'll start. Once started it ticks over like a dream, but even after running for 20 mins you turn it off and it won't start straight away. It's got a brand new 1000cca battery The fuel solenoid clicks when I test with the wire to the tab I've put a none return valve between the fuel filter and injection unit If I slacken off an injector and turn it over with the key no fuel comes out but as soon as it does the engine starts so it feels like fuel supply to me What can I test next? thanks. pete3000
as the fuel filter is after the lift pump the next place is the longer pipe back to the tank. have you checked the rubber leakoff tubing between the injectors as well?
