dave88sw
Hi, Has anybody got any experience with dark tints applied to lights? Does it effect the light output much or alter the colour of the light? It's not really my thing at all but i'd quite like to fit some spot lights to my Discovery. I'm trying to source a saudi spec grille and would mount the lights in behind, however, i'd prefer the lights to be as hidden as possible unless switched on. I feel like a regular pair of spots would show through the grille unless tinted to darken the lenses. Thanks in advance
RedLineMike
Hella do a set of lights that the reflectors are black so they look dark when not switched on, http://www.myhellalights.com/index.php/products/auxiliary-lamps/halogen-lamps/500-series-black-magic/
Aragorn
you can get a film which you can apply which is black with many small holes in it: http://www.flyeyeskit.co.uk/ They even claim it to be road legal. The hellas might be a better option though. Alternatively, look at HID projector type units or LED's where the light source is much smaller?
