CPF
My Freelander 1, V6 Petrol/Gas, while driving down the road, just total cuts out, shuts down. Pull it over, starts right up and runs perfectly. Happened 3 more times, twice at a light and started right back up and ran perfectly. So happened 4 times in a month. Drove it for a week with no problems, but too risky. Have to give it up until someone has an idea. 140K miles, second engine. I tried wiggling the ignition switch pretty aggressively while driving, no luck. Ran perfectly. Hate to give up. Please, any ideas ? Thanks! Glenlivet
Could be a problem with the petrol/gas switch?
CPF
Could be. I'll look into that. What about the crankshaft positioning sensor? Any possibility? Edited February 1, 2017 by CPF Additional info
