Well a little update is in order.
I ordered the following set up in the end:
NRC8044 and NRC8045 for the front.
I eventually plumped for for RBK500300 as it is a little softer and little taller (uncompressed) than the RBK1001111.
The ride is greatly improved and much less crashy. I am almost tempted to say that it is now comfortable and am looking forward to seeing what it will ride like with a little weight in the back. I can honestly say that this is a very good set up and came in pretty cheap from Dan at Duckworth parts - I only ever use original parts, call me mad but I feel they are the best!!
Thanks for all your help guys!

Get the front rubber tower isolation items...OEM items, should be 8 pounds each in cost...they isolate GREAT...rear ones are even cheaper!
Does anybody have part number for front and rear isolation items for a 110???

But a valid point..........should probably just buy a new from Adwest or whatever they are now called.

That was not the question I was asking.

Hi Chaps
Will this steering box fit my Defender.
I recently fitted a 6 bolt power steering kit but the box is a little slack and I thought this looked like a good deal but just wanted to check it would fit my Defender.
Thanks

Do you have the pat numbers for these to hand by any chance???
Thanks!

Just noted that NRC6388 / NRC7000 require a load leveller.
I dont think my 110 has one of these, which would you suggest otherwise.

Gentlemen thank you so much!
On order already!!

I have a 1985 ex-military 110 that I use regularly and have just fitted new suspension supplied by PA Blanchard.
I fitted HD springs - which I think was a mistake as the ride is now very harsh and the front seems to be much higher than before.
I hardly ever carry anything of significant weight and most of the time it is me by myself with nothing in the rear - plus its a softop so there is NO weight at the back.
I really want to improve the ride quality by fitting slightly softer springs and am getting confused, very easy with me!
Can somebody please tell me what springs I need to fit front and rear and part numbers if at all possible???
Thanks

Fitting a new tank
in Defender Forum (1983 - 2016)

Chaps,
My 110 tank has split and I have a new one arriving today along with all the seals, screws, senders, and returns.
My question is I am able to build the tank up with the senders and return section before fitting......obviously the return pipe as that is at the top of the tank but can I pre-fit the sender unit into the tank and then raise the tank into position?
I will also be sanding, priming and coating the tank and cradle to ward off the rust for as long as possible. I have a few tins of black Hammerite at home will this do the job??
Many thanks for all your help.
