I've got the compact Milwaukee 1/2" gun which is great for most general jobs on cars inc wheel nuts and it's great them for anything really tight I've got an air gun and hydrovane
-
that's a good price. New it's about £1600 plus vat very good compressors though so long as you look after themI picked up an 8.2 FAD CFM (which is about the same as a 12 CFM displacement compressor) Hydrovane 502 with 100l tank for £395 second hand.
It's been great but new ones are spendy

Thanks for the reply, so it doesn't matter if I use 4001 or 4007 diodes? What about the original resistor in the loom? Seen some say remove it some say leave it.

Speaking to a friend who has done it he suggested 4007 diodes and a 12v zener? All this is over my head so no idea what the difference in the diodes is... Thanks for the advice

Hi I've got a 3.9 which I've added megajolt to and was running fine then just cut out. It was still using the original coil to get the 14cux fueling. I've read about adding in resistors to replace the coil and still send the signal. I'm struggling to find/understand exactly where I wire them in to and what values I need?

Will try to get a picture but my winch etc is so tight to the front of the engine you probably won't see much

I've fitted an alternator from a 300tdi with a v belt pulley (from a 200tdi) directly to the air con mount on my 3.9 v belt v8
-
I'm currently trying to get it running on the original setup first then will add the megajolt after
-
Well attempted to get it to run, the fuel pump primes then cuts out, it turns over but the incectors aren't firing and it's got no spark

Thanks for the reply and the diagram, it's slightly different to what I have though. Mine has a 9 way plug joining the engine loom to the car loom with:
Solid brown wire
Solid white
White with green
White with purple
Black with pink
2solid yellow from same pin
Brown with blue
Yellow with black
Black with grey
On the car side.
So far I think I've worked out
Solid brown wire is constant 12v from battery
Solid white ignition live
White with green
White with purple is fuel pump
Black with pink
2solid yellow from same pin
Brown with blue
Yellow with black Efi warning
Black with grey

I managed to kill the torque converter and flex plate in my 200tdi auto. Do have 37s and a pair of lockers though.

I'm currently in the process of fitting a 3.9 v belt v8 out a disco in to my whitbread buggy after killing the torque converter and gearbox on my 200tdi. The car was originally a v8 but converted before I bought it. The engine is in but now I need to work out the wiring, due to limited budget I'm currently fitting the original ecu plus mega jolt to help it in water. Any wiring diagrams or advice on how to wire the engine up would be great I have the engine loom and dash loom out of the donor and next to no wiring in the buggy to start from.

I work with compressors, we've occasionally built enclosures using mdf and egg crate foam stuff. If you build it with baffles it's amazing how much difference it can make. Just make sure the air can flow enough to keep it cool.
